Are you seeking something in particular? Do you need a T-shirt, an ice-cream, or you wanna see a new block-buster? In any cases, you can go in Westfield where you will probably end-up buying more than you need.
Westfield is a capitalist haven for those who love giant super mall. And even for the ones who don’t enjoy that much the indoor shopping, they will have to recognise that this is a very convenient place. I believe you can find everything over-there. Thanks to the maps located pretty much everywhere, you can spot easily the shop you are looking for without turning too crazy.
The other good thing about Westfield is that it’s only 1 tube stop away from Park Villa, or 10 minutes away if you decide to walk by the canal 🙂
N.B: Avoid on rainy Saturdays (except if you appreciate to be stifled by a crazy crowd)
Located near Mile End Underground Station Rusty Bike Pub aims to offer Great Beer and Thai Food. You will find a relaxed and a canteen-style atmosphere. If you are looking for a lively spot in a cosy atmosphere that’s the place to go.
You don’t like sport pubs? No worries at all, just go in the back where you can still enjoy comfortable sofas and fresh Thai food for a very reasonable price without TV.
The duck spring roll is a great way to start, as are deep-fried sweet potatoes with sesame. So on a Friday night, or on a Sunday afternoon that the popular place to be in Mile End.
The Greedy Cow in Mile End was created by two brothers with discerning tastes, a love of good food and a strong belief in value for money. This is mainly what you should expect from it.
The chef prepares all the original classics with the usual adornments – such as the classic burger, cooked medium and served in a soft sourdough bun with beef tomato and sliced red onions, and the sirloin steak, aged for 21 days to ensure a tender, flavoursome result – while more exotic meats keep the menu fresh and exciting. Wagyu, kangaroo, bison and crocodile are turned into classic burger in Greedy Cow, and it’s worth to try!
Otherwise I would definitely recommend their bar and their selection of beers (made in Brick Lane), it’s a place where going by yourself won’t matter as their staff is always friendly and chatty 😉
