On the weekend of the 14-16 July 2017 HYPER JAPAN Festival will be your first one-stop experience for all Japanese’s things this summer.

Take in the festival atmosphere with family and friends at the Tobacco Dock, and share your passion for whichever is your favourite facet of J-culture! Enjoy the latest videogames, anime or manga, the best of everything kawaii as well as entertainment like live stage performances of the hottest J-Pop music and more.

Savour food and drink from sushi and sake to snacks and sweets, before soaking up some traditional Japanese culture such as hand-crafts and martial arts, even learning some Japanese language, or even getting travel advice about a trip to Japan of your very own!

At Park Villa we have a wall of fame with photos of our guests in their best costume ! What are you gonna wear that year, do you need advices? Just pop in by Park Villa (few stops away from The Tobacco Dock) to get ready for a crazy two days in a Japanese world!

Get ready to swim at London Rat Race!

 

The London Rat Race have joined forces with Children with Cancer UK to bring you the capital’s most fun packed 10km. Round up your mates and get ready to swim, crawl, jump, slide and laugh your way around the wettest obstacle race in the UK.

Be one of the 1000’s of #RatRacers who tackle over 35 obstacles including a 50ft water slide, giant inflatables and the biggest water jump in any UK race. Plus help raise money for Children with Cancer UK at the same time. This is a totally unique challenge in London’s Docklands achievable by anyone with a sense of adventure and a sense of humour! Join them on the 12th of August!

This event really seems like fun and is based inside the ExCeL exhibition centre in the heart of Docklands, East London, not far from Park Villa.

Curated by KSI, Vikkstar, Zerkaa, Tobjizzle and Miniminter, Upload 2017 will bring together some of the biggest influencers from across the Globe. Guests include The Sidemen, ComedyShortsGamer, JMX, Burnt Chip, Callux, Calfreezy, Rebel FC, Joe Weller plus many more!

This years event is more than twice the size of 2016’s show, with 3 live stages, exhibition, retro zone, meet & greet area’s, tournaments, competitions and merchandise from your YouTubers.

Open-Air Party At Three Mills Island

 

Percolate is hosting a open-air party at Three Mills Island in Stratford.

DJ Koze, Sonja Moonear, Scuba, Objekt, Moxie, Saoirse  and Percolate residents Krywald & Farrer have all been confirmed for the event, which is happening across two stages on Saturday, July 29th, from 1 PM though 11 PM. More acts, including a three-way back-to-back DJ set, will be announced on May 22nd.

Three Mills Island is surrounded by the River Lea and Prescotte Channel. “This is not a music festival, it is a truly stripped-back affair,” says Percolate, who are promising “high-end sound, a beautiful industrial backdrop and an efficient queuing system.”

World’s Greatest Festival of Cycling

Prudential RideLondon is the world’s greatest festival of cycling, with more than 100,000 cyclists expected to participate during the weekend of 27 July. Departure from Lee Valley Velo Park in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. (One stop away from Mile End!)

The festival was developed by the Mayor of London, London & Partners and Transport for London in partnership with Surrey County Council. The event is managed by the London & Surrey Cycling Partnership (LSCP) and sponsored by Prudential.

It combines the fun and accessible element of a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world’s best professional cyclists race!

That’s why professional or amateur winning is not everything, participation matters!

Moreover Park Villa‘s team is welcoming every year participants and provide them a safe space to store their bikes! What is your plan this year?

Join London Triathlon for 2017!

 

The London Triathlon is the largest triathlon in the world and also the only triathlon to take place in central London. It will start at The ExCeL Exhibition Centre on the 22 July. 

Are you looking for a day out with your family?  To compete with the best ? Or are you after glory ? In that 3 cases the London Triathlon is made for you!

Participants can choose between four individual distances or two team relay distances :-

-Super Sprint: 400m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
-Sprint: 750m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
-Olympic: 1500m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
-Olympic Plus: 1500m swim, 80 km bike, 10 km run

The course takes in some of the city’s iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Westminster, London Bridge and the O2.

And Park Villa which is only few stops away from The ExCeL Exhibition Centre will welcome the ones looking for fun adventures and the one seeking for glory !

From humble beginnings, blink-182 have come on leaps and bounds to become one of the most well-known and influential pop-punk bands of the past 2 decades. Fresh from the success of their #1 UK and US album “California”, blink-182 have confirmed a huge UK tour in July 2017.

Due to extremely high demand, they have agreed to play 2 dates back to back at The O2 Arena close to Canary Wharf, Mile End and Park Villa – on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th July 2017.
