The exhibition will be on Brick Lane, from the 5th till the 8th of October. You can stay with us and just pick the bus from Park Villa in Mile End, or go for a walk and enjoy the views and the street art in Shoreditch area, it’s not far!

Now in its 8th year, Moniker Art Fair aims to spotlight emerging and established talent from a burgeoning and increasingly diverse contemporary art movement forged by its subversive and innovative spirit. Staged during London’s most important art week in October, Moniker Art Fair attracts some of the most talked about artists, galleries and collectors from the finer side of the street art movement and its related subcultures.

Moniker rallies against the familiar grind of the art fair season with a curated, experiential and immersive focus, creating unique settings for the display of artists and their work. With a proven track record of delivering a rich and varied programme since its formation in 2010, the fair has grown significantly since its inception both in terms of audience and relevance.

New Scientist Live

They won the Show of the Year 2016, New Scientist Live is the world’s most exciting festival of ideas and takes place at the London ExCeL, not far from Park Villa in Mile End! This year will be from the 28th of September till the 1st of October, stay with us and don’t miss it!

Rooted in the biggest, best and most provocative science, New Scientist Live will touch on all areas of human life. The show will feature five immersive zones covering Humans, Engineering, Technology, Earth and Cosmos, plus a main stage and VIP area.

New Scientist is the world’s biggest science weekly, enjoyed by over 5m people each week. They publish across digital and print channels, including editions in the USA, and Australia.

Since 2014, a series of live events have allowed enthusiasts to experience the people shaping scientific discovery face-to-face, and September 2017 sees the second edition of the flagship event, New Scientist Live.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds O2 Concert

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds at the O2!

 

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced an 8-week European tour with the only London date being Saturday 30 September at The O2 Arena. Near Park Villa in Mile End and Canary Wharf! The tour will be the first time European audiences can experience live songs from new album Skeleton Tree alongside other Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds classics. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds last toured Europe in 2014.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ eight piece touring line up features Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Thomas Wydler, Jim Sclavunos, Conway Savage, George Vjestica and Larry Mullins.

Skeleton Tree, the 16th studio album by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, is out now. It was released in September 2016 the day after the premiere of One More Time With Feeling – the feature film directed by Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) about the making of the album. Skeleton Tree charted at number 1 in 8 countries with a further 11 Top 5s and numerous Top 20 positions. The album gained the band their highest ever position in the UK: 2 (OCC) and US: 27 (Billboard), and has recently been certified Silver in the UK (BPI). Recently nominated for a BRIT Award (2017) in the Best International Group category, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds remain one of the most critically acclaimed acts working today and have sold over 5 million albums worldwide. Their influence has been profound and far-reaching and they are one of the most powerful and exciting live acts in the world.

The London Tattoo Convention

Come along to the Tobacco Dock for the 13th edition of the world’s greatest tattoo event, The International London Tattoo Convention.

Over 400 of the most prominent, talented tattoo artists working today, handpicked from every corner of the globe, are set to attend this prestigious and highly acclaimed event, tattooing in a dazzling and diverse range of styles. From Western Traditional and Japanese tattoos to stunning photo-realistic styles and traditional hand-tapped motifs, the very best examples of every tattoo style will be on display.

Drawing on the overwhelming success of the previous shows, 2017’s edition of The International London Tattoo Convention is set to be the biggest and best yet with exhilarating live acts, breathtaking entertainers and show-stopping bands lined up for the weekend.

John Legend is back on the O2!

 

Acclaimed, multi-platinum selling, Oscar, Golden Globe, and 10x Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter John Legend will return to The O2 on Tuesday 12 September 2017. Get your tickets and enjoy the O2 experience, which is near by Park Villa in Mile End and Canary Wharf! Why don’t you stay with us just after it? 🙂

The news of the tour comes as John announces ‘Surefire’ – the second single to be lifted from the album ‘Darkness and Light,’ which was released to critical acclaim in December 2016. ‘Surefire’ will follow the album’s lead single ‘Love Me Now’, which has garnered over 157,000,000 Spotify streams worldwide, with the official video being viewed over 88,000,000 times on YouTube.

Since the release of ‘Darkness and Light,’ John Legend has co-executive produced and starred in the box office smash ‘La La Land,’ which has gone on to win seven Golden Globe Awards and six Academy Awards, and performed the title track to the recent remake of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with Ariana Grande.

Cheers Up Summer Festival Season is Here

 

Clear the diary as Field Day festival returns to Dinerama on Sunday 27 August for a BIG Bank Holiday bash at London’s Victoria Park.

Following Easter Sunday’s sell out success and the incredible 11th edition of the festival, Field Day have curated another unmissable event running from Noon ‘til Midnight with 12 hours of music, food, and booze. Dinerama will be rolling up their shutters to host another huge line-up with DJs including the mighty Simian Mobile Disco, Baio (the bassist from Vampire Weekend who’s just realised the solo ‘Man of the World’ album),  Lucky Me and NTS affiliate Eclair FiFi, super producer Ewan Pearson, Throwing Shade (whose House of Silk EP came out on Ninja Tune this year), Lemmy Ashton, Bugged Out, Eat Your Own Ears, Snap Crackle & Pop plus special guests to be announced.

From Dinerama’s street food stars and brilliant bars you can grab a plate of Thunderbird’s fiery Chippuffalo wings with a side of Laffa’s crispy Halloumi Fries, sink a Tequila Colada slushy then dance off your dinner from day ‘til dark!

Festival season is actually one of the main reason of why East London is the place to be in summer. And Field Day is only the beginning of that holy season!

London Gin Festival

A celebration of all things Gin!

 

This is the 4th Annual London Gin Festival and the biggest Gin Festival in the UK ever!

Described in Timeout as one of the “Top 10 things to do in 2016” they return to the magnificent Tobacco Dock and will be there with more than 100 gins, (including many new exclusives gins), new brands, cocktails and masterclasses from industry experts!

The Tobacco Dock is based in Shadwell, East London, about three stops from Park Villa. Who doesn’t like gin? Join them from the 25th till the 27th of August!

THIS EVENT IS A STRICTLY FOR OVER 18 YEARS OLD.

London Aquathlon

Sweat at The London Aquathlon !

 

Within the confines of London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. A 400m swim + 5km run in a phenomenal London location, avoiding all road crossings.

Swimming in the London Aquatics Centre and running around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. All runners will be welcome. Goody bags & medals for everyone. First 5 male and females receive 2 tickets to Arcelor Mital Orbit.

The Olympic Park is only one stop from Mile End in the central line. Plus you can also visit Westfield in Stratford, which is near by. The Race will be on the 19th of August, save some energy for the date at Park Villa!
